I am a freelance writer and editor specializing in public education. I have spent more than a decade writing about urban schools as a journalist, and I got an inside look into education reform during a year working for a nonprofit school support organization. I was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and a finalist for a Livingston Award for my coverage of Baltimore’s public schools at The Baltimore Sun. I also teach yoga, which has made me well-versed on a variety of health and wellness topics. I have a journalism degree from Northwestern University, and I live in New York City.
